META (Facebook) Selection and Support

Nov 29, 2022

We were so honoured that our HRT Facebook community was selected from thousands of applications worldwide, to be a valued member of the 2022/23 Community Accelerator programme!

This was and still is a huge acknowledgement of the work we do and we continue to make the most of the opportunities this acolade offered to us in order to help more people.

How Were We Selected?

The selection committee looks for communities who would benefit most from the unique programming offered and have the capacity to engage fully in the program. This includes:

A Vibrant Community: A community using Facebook Groups that has a highly engaged member base starting and participating in meaningful conversations.

A Purpose: The community and its leadership team has a clear purpose and vision.

Capacity: A team that has the capacity to create initiatives that activate and benefit their members.

Leadership: The leader(s) of the community have leadership experience, including managing teams, projects and volunteers.

Commitment: A team that is committed to engage fully in each stage of the program.
